Instant Funding Prop Firms Compared: Fees, Splits, Payout Speed

Blue Guardian, GOAT Funded Trader and Instant Funding compared using only each firm's own published terms: entry cost, real profit split, payout speed.

Do these firms actually pay, and how fast? The documented payout cycles

Start with the fear that matters most. You have profit on the screen. When does it leave the account?

The honest answer is that "fast payout" means four different things across these three firms, and two of them are not calendar days.

Blue Guardian: "Instant Payout" on demand, 24 business hours

Blue Guardian's Instant account rules pages, for both Instant Starter and Instant Standard, list the payout frequency as "Instant Payout," meaning on demand, with a processing time of 24 business hours (Instant Standard Account Rules | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31).

Read "business hours" carefully. Twenty-four business hours is not twenty-four hours. Depending on how a firm counts a working day, a request filed Friday afternoon can land the following Tuesday or Wednesday. The page states the unit; it does not define the working week.

GOAT Funded Trader: bi-weekly, every 14 days

GOAT Funded Trader's help center states that the Instant Funding GOAT Model's payout cycle is bi-weekly, every 14 days (Instant Funding GOAT Model | Goat Funded Trader FAQ's, retrieved 2026-07-31).

That is a cadence, not a speed. You are not waiting 14 days for a transfer to clear. You are waiting up to 14 days for the next window in which you are allowed to ask.

Instant Funding: 14 days to the first payout, then every 7

Instant Funding documents a two-stage cycle: the first withdrawal is available 14 days after your initial trade, and after that you can withdraw every 7 days following your next trade (Instant Funding Program Rules | Smart Drawdown, Risk Limits & Payouts, retrieved 2026-07-31).

Note the trailing condition on the second stage. The 7-day clock is tied to a new trade, not to the calendar alone. A week of sitting flat is not automatically a week of eligibility.

Instant Funding's own accounts page sets the minimum withdrawal at $25 (Instant Funding Account new design, retrieved 2026-07-31). That is unusually low for this category and it is worth knowing, because a low minimum is what makes a small account testable at all.

What "fast payout" does not mean: cadence is not settlement

Four separate clocks hide behind the phrase "fast payout," and firms rarely separate them:

  1. Eligibility. How long after your first trade before you may request anything.
  2. Cadence. How often you may request after that.
  3. Processing. How long the firm takes to approve and send, in hours or business hours.
  4. Settlement. How long your payment provider or bank takes after the firm has sent.

A firm can be honest about clock 3 and silent about clock 4. Instant Funding's accounts page, for instance, states that most payouts are processed within 48 business hours (Instant Funding Account new design, retrieved 2026-07-31), which is clock 3. None of the pages quoted here commits to a settlement time, because settlement belongs to your bank or payment provider, not to the firm. If you want the end-to-end mechanics rather than the cadences, read our walkthrough of the funded account profit withdrawal process, then come back to the table.

Where each firm's own pages contradict each other

This is the section the affiliate rankings cannot write, because it makes the firms look worse than their ad copy. Every contradiction below is between two documents published by the same company.

Blue Guardian: $1,000 compensation or 100% of profits?

Blue Guardian's formal payout-guarantee policy page commits to processing all payouts within 24 business hours and states that if it misses that window, the trader automatically receives $1,000 in compensation (24 Hours Payout Guarantee | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31).

The same policy page also refers, in its exceptions list, to a "100% profit split upgrade" that delays outside the firm's control do not qualify for (24 Hours Payout Guarantee | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31). So one Blue Guardian document describes the remedy as a flat cash payment and the same document elsewhere references a split upgrade as the remedy.

Those are not the same promise. One is a flat $1,000 cash penalty. The other is an escalation of your profit split to 100%. On a $200 profit they are wildly different in your favour; on a $20,000 profit they are wildly different in the firm's favour. The marketing page also says "24 hours" where the policy page says "24 business hours."

We are not telling you which one binds. We are telling you that two pages on one domain say two things, that the help-center policy article is the more formal of the two, and that this is a question to put to support in writing before you buy, not after.

Blue Guardian: 14-day cycle or on-demand?

Blue Guardian's general payout FAQ states that after the first payout, traders can request payouts every 14 days from the date of the previous request, and that a paid 7-Day Payout Add-On shortens that to every 7 days with the first payout available 7 days after the first trade (How do payouts work? | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31).

Its Instant account rules pages say "Instant Payout," on demand, 24 business hours (Instant Standard Account Rules | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31).

The FAQ does resolve this, if you read to the end of it. The same page carries an "Instant Account Payouts" section stating that Instant Accounts have instant payout eligibility once minimum trading days and consistency requirements are met, and it lists the splits by account type: Funded Accounts 85% default, Instant Standard 80% default, Instant Starter 90% fixed (How do payouts work? | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31). The 14-day cycle in the opening paragraphs is scoped to Funded Accounts. So the two documents agree once you notice which account type each paragraph is addressing, and the trap is skim-reading the first cadence you see. If you buy an instant account, the document you want screenshotted is still the Instant account rules page.

There is a related cost signal here. If a firm sells a 7-Day Payout Add-On, then faster payouts are a paid feature on some part of its product line, not a baseline.

How to check any of this yourself in five minutes

  1. Open the firm's help center or rules page, not the sales page. Rules pages carry tables; sales pages carry adjectives.
  2. Search the page for "business" to see whether processing is quoted in business hours or plain hours.
  3. Search for "add-on." Anything behind an add-on is not your base condition.
  4. Open the refund or cancellation PDF and read it end to end. It is usually two pages.
  5. Screenshot the rules page with the date visible. That is your record if the page changes.

Entry cost: what you actually pay to start

The $10 account and what it actually buys

Blue Guardian advertises its Instant Starter account at an entry price of $10 (Get Funded for $10 | Blue Guardian, Instant Funding Starter, retrieved 2026-07-31). That is the cheapest documented entry point anywhere in this comparison.

Now the same breath, because splitting these two facts across two paragraphs is how the number gets misused. The Instant Starter carries a $5,000 initial balance and a 90% profit split with no upgrade path, and it is a one-time account that allows one payout only, after which the account is permanently closed (Instant Starter | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31).

So $10 buys you one shot at one payout, and that shot is bounded on both sides: the same rules page caps maximum profit on the Instant Starter at $250 and sets the minimum withdrawal at $100 via crypto or $500 via Rise (Instant Starter | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31). It is a very cheap way to test a firm's payout process with your own eyes, which is a real use. It is not a career, and it is not a durable account.

Account size ranges, per each firm's own accounts page

GOAT Funded Trader launched two Instant Goat accounts at $250,000 and $300,000, according to a Finance Magnates thought-leadership piece placed under the firm's own name, which is promotional copy rather than a rules page (Finance Magnates, "Goat Funded Trader Expands Instant Funding with $250k and $300k Accounts," retrieved 2026-07-31). That makes $300,000 the largest instant size documented in the sources cited here; the firm's help-center pages we checked do not list the size ladder, so treat it as the largest documented, not the confirmed ceiling.

Blue Guardian's Instant Standard line is sold up to $400,000 (Instant Standard Account Rules | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31).

Where the aggregator numbers are wrong

One specific figure circulates that the primary source contradicts: Instant Funding's minimum withdrawal, often repeated as $100. Its own page says withdrawals start at $25 (Instant Funding Account new design, retrieved 2026-07-31).

Neither error is malicious. Both are what happens when a review is copied from a review that was copied from a page that has since changed. It is also the reason every cell in the table below carries a URL and a date instead of a star rating.

Profit split: the advertised number vs. the one you get

80% is the real base across all three

The 90% you see in the ads is usually the upgraded split. Here are the bases, from the firms' own pages:

  • Blue Guardian Instant Standard: 80% base (Instant Standard Account Rules | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31)
  • GOAT Funded Trader Instant Funding GOAT Model: 80% (Instant Funding GOAT Model | Goat Funded Trader FAQ's, retrieved 2026-07-31)
  • Instant Funding: 80%, increasable to 90% with the paid "Add 10% to profit split" add-on (Instant Funding Account new design, retrieved 2026-07-31)

For the general mechanics behind how these percentages are calculated and paid out, see how profit split works in forex prop firms.

What the 90% upgrade costs you before you profit

Blue Guardian sells a 90% Profit Split Add-On, purchasable at checkout, that upgrades eligible funded accounts including Instant Standard from the base split to 90% (How do payouts work? | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31). Instant Funding sells the equivalent as "Add 10% to profit split" (Instant Funding Account new design, retrieved 2026-07-31).

The mechanic to understand is the direction of the risk. You pay for the upgrade at checkout, before you have made a dollar of simulated profit. The firm collects that money whether or not you ever reach a payout. Ten extra points of split on profit you never make is worth nothing, and you cannot buy the upgrade later on the strength of results.

That does not make add-ons a trick. It makes them a bet on yourself with a cash cost, and the honest way to price one is to ask what profit figure makes the extra 10 points repay the add-on fee. Below that figure, the base split was the better buy.

The only unconditional 90% here comes with a one-payout ceiling

Across the pages cited here, the single instant account documented at 90% with no upgrade purchase is Blue Guardian's Instant Starter, listed as "90% (Fixed)" (Instant Starter | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31; How do payouts work? | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31). It is also the account that closes permanently after one payout (Instant Starter | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31).

That is the trade the headline number hides. The best split in the comparison is attached to the shortest-lived account in the comparison.

How to read the table without conflating days and business hours

Two of the processing figures here are quoted in business hours, not calendar days: Blue Guardian's 24 business hours (Instant Standard Account Rules | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31) and Instant Funding's stated 48 business hours for most payouts (Instant Funding Account new design, retrieved 2026-07-31). Every eligibility and cadence figure in the table is calendar days. If you compare "24 hours" against "7 days" without noticing that one of them is a business-hours processing window and the other is an eligibility cadence, you are comparing two different clocks and reaching a confident wrong answer.

The safe habit is to convert everything into one sentence per firm: I may first ask on day X, then every Y days, and once asked it takes Z. If any of X, Y, or Z is missing, that is your answer for that firm.

Cells marked "not published" — and why that is itself information

"Not published" here means the source pages cited in this article do not state it. It does not mean the term does not exist; it may live in a dashboard, a checkout flow, or a terms document we did not cite.

Treat it as a question, not a verdict. A firm that publishes its minimum withdrawal has made a commitment you can hold it to. A firm that does not has kept a variable it can change without telling you. Ask for the number in writing, and keep the reply.

Entry cost vs. the split and payout terms it buys

The table above compares the three firms metric by metric. This second table cuts across the same sourced figures a different way, lining up Blue Guardian's two instant tiers against each other on what the entry price actually locks in — because "cheapest" and "best terms" are not the same account here.

Scaling and account caps: what is documented and what is not

GOAT Funded Trader's site states that its simulated capital runs up to $400,000 and is "Scalable to $2 Million"; the page does not specify whether that cap is exclusive to instant-funded accounts or shared with challenge-based accounts (How It Works | GoatFundedTrader, Trade like the Greatest, retrieved 2026-07-31).

We will not resolve that ambiguity on the firm's behalf. If the $2 million ceiling is shared across product lines, a trader on an instant account may reach a lower practical cap than the headline implies. That is the question to ask, in writing, with the account type named. For how scaling actually compounds once you are in it, see our guide to best practices for scaling a funded trading account.

How to choose without trusting anyone's ranking

Four documents to read before you pay any firm

  1. The rules page for your exact account type. Not the product page. Blue Guardian's Instant rules page and its general payout FAQ say different things about cadence, and only one of them applies to you (Instant Standard Account Rules | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31; How do payouts work? | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31).
  2. The split, checked for the word "add-on." All three base splits here are 80% (Instant Standard Account Rules | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31; Instant Funding GOAT Model | Goat Funded Trader FAQ's, retrieved 2026-07-31; Instant Funding Account new design, retrieved 2026-07-31).
  3. The payout window, checked for the word "business." Twenty-four business hours and twenty-four hours are different commitments (Instant Standard Account Rules | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31).
  4. The refund policy PDF itself. Read it end to end, not the summary a review site gave you.

Two more habits worth building. If you are new to how funded rules work at all, start with funded account rules explained for beginners, because a split you cannot reach is worth zero. And this comparison deliberately leaves out the cost dimension that ends most accounts: how each firm calculates drawdown. That is covered in drawdown calculation methods for funded accounts.

If you want the narrative version of this decision rather than the sourced grid, see our buyer's guide to instant-funded accounts. If you are also weighing challenge-based firms, see alternatives to FTMO. And if entry cost and speed matter to you but you have not yet compared timelines across the wider industry, see how long it takes to get funded in a prop firm.

Where ITAfx sits, stated once

ITAfx is operated by Institutional Trading Academy Ltd and offers instant funding with no evaluation time limit, simulated account sizes from $25K to $400K, profit split up to 120% on some tiers, payouts typically within 24 hours, and a 150% fee refund on eligible challenges, on the Match Trader platform. Those terms are published on itafx.com, and they are the terms to hold us to. Apply the same four checks above to us that you would apply to anyone on this page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which instant funding firm is cheapest to start?

Of the entry costs documented here, Blue Guardian's Instant Starter at $10 is the lowest (Get Funded for $10 | Blue Guardian, Instant Funding Starter, retrieved 2026-07-31). It is a $5,000 balance, one payout, and the account closes permanently afterward (Instant Starter | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31).

Do any of these firms really pay 90% without an upgrade?

One does, with a ceiling. Blue Guardian's Instant Starter is documented at 90% with no upgrade path, and it allows a single payout (Instant Starter | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31). Blue Guardian Instant Standard and Instant Funding both reach 90% only through a paid add-on (How do payouts work? | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31; Instant Funding Account new design, retrieved 2026-07-31).

Which firm pays out fastest?

They are not measured on the same scale. Blue Guardian's instant accounts are on demand with a 24 business hour processing time (Instant Standard Account Rules | Blue Guardian | CFD, retrieved 2026-07-31). Instant Funding's first payout comes 14 calendar days after your first trade, then every 7 days following a new trade (Instant Funding Program Rules, retrieved 2026-07-31). GOAT Funded Trader's Instant GOAT Model runs bi-weekly, every 14 days (Instant Funding GOAT Model | Goat Funded Trader FAQ's, retrieved 2026-07-31).

Does Instant Funding refund the account fee on your first withdrawal?

Its published Cancellation and Refund Policy contains no such provision.

What is Instant Funding's minimum withdrawal?

$25, per its own accounts page (Instant Funding Account new design, retrieved 2026-07-31). The $100 figure repeated on some review sites does not match the source.

How high does GOAT Funded Trader scale?

Its site states funded capital scalable to $2 million, without specifying whether that cap is instant-only or shared with challenge accounts (How It Works | GoatFundedTrader, Trade like the Greatest, retrieved 2026-07-31).
